Exploring Mellieha's Rocky Seashore

Exploring Mellieha's Rocky Seashore

The other day I decided to go and visit St. Agatha's Tower also known as the Red Tower in Mellieha. When I got there I had plenty of spare time before the tower would open so I decided to walk around in the meantime. Who knew that was a beginning of an unexpected discovery and great adventure. Are you ready? Let's go!

I passed the Red Tower and kept on walking towards the Radar Station. After a while I noticed some steps on the left-hand side, not very well maintained, but I was in an exploring mood, so I decided to walk down and this where I ended up.

Mellieha's rocky seashore is just stunning! I never had an idea that there is something so beautiful in Malta. Because it's out of the way and pretty hidden, it was very quiet and peaceful and the only people I saw during my 3-hour walk were 4 fishermen. Great place to clear your mind!

When you look down, not only certain parts of the seashore look like you are walking on the moon, but there are thousands of beautiful fossils all around!

You also get a pretty cool view of the Rdum il-Qammieh cliffs. These picture just cannot justify the awesomeness of this place! You have to go and see for yourself!

At the end of my walk I couldn't resist an walked to the old Radat Station and enjoyed the view from above. :-)

Also not to forget, here is the exact location of my walk so you can find this place easily. Happy trekking guys! :-)
