Afternoon trek around Ghajn Tuffieha

Afternoon trek around Ghajn Tuffieha

Ghajn Tuffieha Bay also known as the Riviera Beach is one of the most popular sandy beaches in Malta. It can be accessed by a long flight of steps, which might put a lot of people off but it’s worth the pain!  It is a beautiful place to be especially at this time of the year and I am going to tell you why!

In spring the beach is quiet, you find yourself surrounded by greenery and blooming flowers, which I personally find very relaxing and therapeutic. It might be still too cold to swim, but it’s not all about swimming and sunbathing, isn’t it? At this point I would like to ask you to put on your trekking boots and get ready!

I don’t know why I have never bothered walking further than the beach goes (and please don’t do the same mistake) as the views you will find are just stunning. Here is my photo documentation of my Ghajn Tuffieha hike. Hope you like it.
